...Nineteen years and a couple of continents later, I've learned such things as:
How to tie my shoes, that 2+2=4 and that I don't like numbers very much, that if an egg is green and so is the ham; then they're probably spoiled. Later on, the realization that saying whatever's on your mind is not always such a good idea, and neither is giving haircuts to all your Barbies or yourself. If you haven't experience in that department, you and Barbie A., B., and C. will feel quite ugly afterwards. Sleep and I have a love-hate relationship. So do me and Insomnia. I know we will never reconcile completely because I don't like taking pills. I thought friendship was forever, then I grew up. That thought went away along with Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny. I learned that (in excess) booze is not good, but I didn't learn my lesson. That lying is sometimes necessary, but you do it unnecessarily. That you can be intelligent, but still be very stupid. That my lack of concentration, laziness and motivation are frighteningly crippling. I learned about the fall of a couple of empires, read some books, and was reassured of my hatred towards numbers (among other things) in high school. When I did decide to show up for school, which was hardly ever. A year has gone by and I've realized I really haven't learned anything. College woes, and everyday life... That's me.
